SnoFest 2016: February 6-7


Drawing on the adventurous tradition of sled dog racing, Marmora SnoFest celebrates a love of dogs, sport and community. SnoFest continues to be a destination for stellar sled dog racing and skijoring, attracting world-class competitors from Canada and beyond, and offers programming to entertain the whole family.

2015 OFSS Symposium

August 22 at the Marmora Community Centre

Hosted by Marmora SnoFest & The Ontario Federation of the Sleddogging Sports

Come and join us on August 22 for the 2015 OFSS Sled Dog Symposium featuring Yukon Quest winner Hans Gatt. This event promises to be exciting as Hans regales the audience with stories from his adventures in sled dog sports. 

Hailing from Austria, Hans now dins his home in the Yukon with his partner Susie Rogan. Beginning by racing motocross in Europe he found his calling behind the sled, proving to be a natural by winning the 1000 mile Yukon Quest 4 times, including wold record time. Four times Wyoming Champ, four times European Sprint champion and IFSS World Champion Sprint Class champ.

This event also has demonstrations from local mushers Karen Koehler and Luke Siertsemia. 

  • Tickets are $30.oo for OFSS members and $40.00 for non members
  • Tickets are sold at the door
  • Doors open at 7:30 AM
  • Ticket prices include a lasagna lunch, beverages, and several door prizes
  • Separate draws are also being held on a Paws-E-Trax Dogsled built by Ray Erker and a Dray land scooter donated by the OFSS

Proceeds from the event go toward the OFSS and Marmora SnoFest Committee. So come relax and enjoy a day full of tales and stories that will surely captivate any outdoors or dog enthusiast.
